skinwalker abilities, shape-shifting. Skinwalkers are able to shift into three separate animal forms of any current living creature (e.g, wolf, horse, tiger, etc.) Shifting is very easy and natural for Skinwalkers, and they can stay in animal form for as long as they like.
Skinwalkers are unique in that they can retain certain animal characteristics in each form, meaning basically that they can take one characteristic from one shift form and keep it in another. In example -- your Skinwalker could have a horse form, but they could say add wings to this shift form. Or have a lion shift, and add horns or antlers. These "mutations" once decided, are permanent and can't be changed.
enhancements. Skinwalkers often have naturally enhanced senses and bodily skills that apply to their human forms that they are blessed with each time they visit the Sacred Stone. Each Skinwalker is limited to four skills. These skills can be purchased for your Skinwalker character in The Bazaar.
Agility - very quick reflexes, paired with excellent balance; able to turn on a dime and dodge attacks
Endurance - enables Skinwalkers to run for long distances or maintain strength when healing or fighting.
Healing - speeds up the healing process in the human as well as animal forms, enables scratches and cuts to heal very quickly the more skilled the Skinwalker
Hearing - significantly stronger hearing, can often hear for mile upon mile away. may cause trauma when first blessed with the skill. Can be overwhelmed with too many loud sounds.
Hyperperception - the ability to slow ones perception of time and calculate actions before doing so rashly. Used in short bursts and causes vertigo immediately afterwards.
Poison - only for Skinwalkers who have a poisonous shift form; enables the human form to spit or expel venom.
Scent - powerful sense of smell; able to "see" scent trails in various different colors, enable for excellent tracking and hunting. Can get overwhelmed with too many strong scents.
Speed - move at greater speed; not lightning fast, but significantly faster than normal Skinwalkers and especially humans. May be more prone to injuries if hit at greater speeds.
Stealth - enables Skinwalker to tread with little to no sound, no matter the terrain to evade detection
Strength - a Skinwalker blessed with Strength is able to pick up large, heavy objects with ease; also able to hit with much more force and strength and some can even bend or twist metal if extremely skilled
Touch - enables the Skinwalker to be very sensitive to movement and vibrations; can sense vibrations in the earth from a few miles away to hear enemies approaching.
Vision - very powerful and accurate vision; able to see small objects from very far off, as well as "zoom" into objects close at hand for an almost microscopic look. Sometimes susceptible to extreme bright lights.
